The inaugural WTF Legends Cricket Match Thailand will take place on 21 November 2021. The charity match is organised in association with the Royal Thai Government and the Gracia Raina Foundation and is expected to attract thousands of cricket fans.
WTF Legends Cricket Match Thailand will feature former professional cricket players from around the world including Australia, England, India, South Africa and Sri Lanka with the aim to raise awareness of cricket in new markets. Famous names attending include Suresh Raina, known as the first Indian to score 100 in all three formats of the game; Irfan Pathan, known as the “Blue-Eyed Boy”; Harbhajan Singh, who has the second-highest number of Test wickets by an off spinner; and Yusef Pathan, who was a regular feature of the national One Day International team.
Played gully cricket style, WTF Legends Cricket Match Thailand will be a so-called T10 style match with two matches played in the span of five to six hours. The two captains will compete for the right to pick the players on their team.
