Sponsorship Part One and Part Two

The annual workshops give delegates invaluable insights into the world of sponsorship and partnership marketing. Held every year at The Metropolitan by Como in September, the sold-out workshops have become a popular addition to many companies’ continued training and education.

Hosted by Paul Poole, Founder of The Sponsorship Experts, the two one-day workshops cater to both buy and sell side and teach delegates everything they need to know to make the most out of sponsorship and partnership marketing. With more than three decades worth of experience in international brand marketing, Paul has held senior positions at Wrangler, Levi Strauss and Co, Polo Ralph Lauren and Diesel. Since 2004, Paul has headed The Sponsorship Experts, working with some of Asia’s leading companies, institutions and government agencies in sectors ranging from sport, culture, tourism and MICE.

Participants will also be able to hear from experts in their field during dedicated workshops. This year’s confirmed speakers include Nigel Jones, Founder of The Purple Tangerine and Paul Pednault, Founder of Sponsorium International Inc. With 30 years’ experience in creative marketing with leading brands including adidas, Bausch & Lomb, Kellogg's, Mars, Motorola, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble, Nigel will be a guest speaker and workshop host for Sponsorship Part One on Tuesday and Wednesday, 14 and 15 September 2021 and Sponsorship Part Two on Thursday and Friday, 16 and 17 September 2021.

Having founded one of North America’s largest sponsorship marketing agencies in 1987, Paul Pednault has decades of experience in commercial sponsorship and partnership marketing. He will be sharing that knowledge at Sponsorship Part Two, which will take place on Thursday and Friday, 16 and 17 September 2021. More guest speakers will be confirmed in the months leading up to the workshops.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, Sponsorship Part One and Part Two will be held according to Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau safe meetings and conventions guidelines as they stand at the time of the events. In addition, the workshops will make use of SportStats Asia’s Transponder Assisted Visitor Information system, which offers proven contact-tracing for events.

Both training workshops are also limited to 20 delegates per day in order to better adhere to safe distancing measures and to give delegates a chance to interact with Paul Poole and the guest speakers.
