Volleyball World has confirmed the four host cities and venues for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Thailand 2025, set to take place from 22 August to 7 September 2025. In a historic first for Southeast Asia, the prestigious tournament will be held across Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai, and Phuket.
This announcement is part of the leadup to the 20th edition of the Women’s World Championship, which will feature 32 national teams competing under an updated tournament format. Full details are available on the Volleyball World website.
In Bangkok, matches will be held at the Huamark Indoor Stadium, a venue renowned for hosting international competitions. With seating for over 6,000 spectators, Huamark has become a regular stop on the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) tour, most recently hosting the record-breaking 2024 Women's VNL Finals.
Nakhon Ratchasima, known for its vibrant volleyball scene, will welcome fans to Chatchai Hall (MCC Hall at The Mall). A familiar venue for both the VNL and Asian Championships, it is celebrated for its enthusiastic crowds and consistent event excellence.
Chiang Mai will make its World Championship debut at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre—one of the largest venues in northern Thailand. While this is the city’s first time hosting the global tournament, it has previously staged events such as the 2023 Southeast Asia Volleyball League and the Beach Pro Tour Challenge.
Phuket rounds out the list of host cities, with matches to be played at the Saphan Hin Municipal Sports Complex. The coastal city has a rich history of staging international beach volleyball competitions, including the 2021 FIVB U19 and U21 World Championships. The 2025 tournament adds another chapter to Phuket’s volleyball legacy.
The 2025 Women’s World Championship is set to be the most expansive edition in the event’s history, celebrating over 70 years of competition while ushering in a new era of excitement, innovation, and global reach.
Global ticket sales officially opened on 28 May 2025, with the tournament only a couple of months away. Preliminary team rosters will be released on 14 July, with more event details to follow on the official Volleyball World platform.
