Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) returns to Kata Rocks for its fifth consecutive year on 10-12 December 2020. The exclusive, invitation-only event is one of the highlights of the regional yachting calendar, attracting superyachts and their owners from across Asia.
The event, which kickstarts Phuket’s luxurious charter season, also attracts the industry’s biggest yachting and charter companies, celebrities and industry professionals. With its invitation-only format, KRSR is one of the most high-profile yachting events of the year, cementing Phuket as one of Asia’s premier luxury lifestyle destinations. Last year’s fleet included superyachts MY Sapphire, MY Nymhaea, MY Sanook, Lobster Catamaran, MY Shangri-La, to name just a few.
Despite its high-calibered attendees, KRSR is known for its relaxed atmosphere. Attendees join leisurely sailing trips around the Andaman Sea during the day and attend yacht parties and private dinners at night.
Over the years, KRSR has taken an increasingly philanthropic direction, supporting both local and international organisations and charities focusing on marine conservation. Last year’s Soiree by the Sea Charity Gala Dinner was hosted at Kata Rocks on behalf of The International SeaKeepers Society and Phuket-based Oceans For All Foundation and sponsored by the Leading Yachts of the World. The ultra-exclusive event aimed to raise awareness of and contribute to marine conservation and oceanographic research that together can help protect and restore oceans for future generations to come.
