Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is coming to Thailand in November this year. Combining beach volleyball, sport, entertainment and live music, it’s a unique event that is guaranteed to attract thousands.
Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is part of the global Beach Pro Tour which tours around the world to countries like Brazil, Canada, China, India, Latvia, Maldives, Mexico, Philippines and Portugal. The inaugural Thai edition will take place in Chiang Mai.
With a festival-like atmosphere, the tour brings volleyball, music and entertainment together for a long weekend of fun activities and social gatherings. The timing of the event could not be better - volleyball is one of the Kingdom’s fastest growing sports spurred on by the success of the women’s national team.
The Beach Pro Tour has more than 300 teams globally and has hosted more than 25 events since its inception in 2021. There are three tour categories: Elite 16 featuring the best teams, Challenge, which is the primary tour event that feeds into Elite 16, and Futures for up and coming talents.
With a huge global audience in the millions, the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is expected to attract thousands of spectators, a large part of whom travel from overseas specifically for the event. Every match on the tour is broadcast and the event covers more than 51 territories.
Volleyball is one of the most popular and widely spread sports in the world with impressive growth rates in Southeast Asia. The sport is extremely inclusive and is considered a leading advocate for gender equality in sports.
