KTA Asian Kiteboard Tour 2011 / 2012
Now in its third year & season, the KTA Asian Kiteboard Tour 2011 / 2012 is one of the world’s largest kiteboard tours open to all national riders from all over the globe and providing local Asian born competitors with an opportunity to show their level of talent and ability to the world.
Kiteboarding is a fast growing sport with over 250,000 participants worldwide and offers a major opportunity for sponsors to associate with an adrenaline rushing, close to the beach spectator friendly event with boardspeeds of almost 100 km/h, spectacular jumps and wave riding.
The KTA Asian Kiteboard Tour features around 300 riders with some of the best riders in Asia and from around the world offering a fantastic opportunity for sponsors to promote their products and services and entertain guests at the many parties.
Taiwan is the first stop on the 2011 / 2012 Tour, followed by China, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines – with further potential new country venues in Japan, Qatar and Malaysia also being considered.
Each event consists of five days of kiteboard action including:
- Freestyle
- Course Racing
- KTA Old Skool Project
The Asia events are organised by the Kiteboard Tour Asia under the auspices of the International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) the worldwide governing body of kiteboarding and an International Class Association of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). The KTA Asia Tour is sanctioned as a continental tour series.
