Following two successful years, SPIA Asia – Asia's Sports Industry Awards and Conference returns to Bangkok in November 2017. The annual SPIA Asia – Asia's Sports Industry Awards and Conference celebrates the achievements made by the sporting industry in Asia with a two-day programme packed with activities.

SPIA Asia – Asia's Sports Industry Awards and Conference covers the achievements made by the sporting industry in 47 Asian countries and celebrates Asia's rise as one of the world's premier destinations for large-scale, mass participation sporting events. Every year, the region attracts more and larger events, capturing the attention of a worldwide audience.

During the two day event, delegates will have the chance to meet and network with Asia's most influential players in the sporting industry. Participants will consist of decision makers of brands, rights holders, venue owners, event organisers, federations, marketing agencies, government entities, governing bodies, and others directly or indirectly involved with investments, management and development of sports in Asia. This year's conference, titled “The Business of Sports – Asia's Sports Industry in the Fast Lane III” aims to improve collaboration between various stakeholders, drive best practices across the industry, and provide the latest updates on sports marketing and sponsorship in Asia.

Held at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld in Bangkok, the event culminates in a black tie awards ceremony with more than 350 attendees from across Asia, where the winners will be announced. Five local and 17 international awards categories are up for grabs, with each category carefully judged by a panel of international sports industry experts.

This year, SPIA Asia – Asia's Sports Industry Awards and Conference will host an auction where participants can bid on holidays, experiences and memorabilia in order to raise funds for a local sports development programme in partnership with Helping Hand Group, a provider of charity auctioneering services.

SPIA Asia – Asia's Sports Industry Awards and Conference 2017 is organised by MMC Sportz, a Dubai-based advertising and communications agency with a clear focus on providing specialised services to the sports and entertainment industries, and endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sports Authority of Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
